Ever wondered about combining a dive trip with a family trip? It CAN work and could be the first step towards a lifetime of adventures together as a family. There really is nothing like exploring the underwater world with the next generation.

A family dive, snorkel, stand up paddle or fishing holiday can be just what the doctor ordered. Why not disconnect from the pressures of life for a few days, turn off the devices and come enjoy a big dose of vitamin sea!
Maybe swimming with a turtle or seeing a pod of dolphins playing under the bow might be just what is needed to pull the kids away from their screens? By introducing your kids to the aquatic life at an early age means they’ll come to share your love of the underwater world.

Cairns summers can be hot and humid, but the blue waters of the Great Barrier Reef offer a cool retreat for divers. Underneath the surface, visibility is good, and there is lots of life about following the spawning of the corals. It’s easy for days to go by exploring a paradise containing such an amazing diversity of life.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the planet’s most extraordinary natural wonders, its the worlds largest coral reef system, in fact, it’s bigger than the UK, Holland and Switzerland combined. It’s a wonderland of abundant life unlike anywhere else on the planet.
1,500 species of fish, more than 200 bird species and 30 species of whale and dolphin call the reef home. Whilst Africa sports it’s big five’, so the Great Barrier Reef has its ‘Great Eight’. We are talking the big hitters – turtles, manta rays, sharks and whales – and also the smaller but no less captivating clownfish, potato cod, giant clam and Maori wrasse. Spot the eight if you can and along the way learn a heap about their amazing home, but shhhhh – let’s not tell the kids this trip will be educational 😉
