The Trip

• Day 1: Begin your journey with a charter flight from Cairns, offering panoramic views of the Great Barrier Reef en route to either Lizard Island or Portland Roads. Upon landing, you’ll be greeted by the Aroona crew and taken to the vessel where your adventure begins.

• Days 2-6: Days 2-6: For the next five days, you’ll journey through the remote estuary systems and headlands of Princess Charlotte Bay, led by expert anglers specialising in catching large Barramundi and other infamous estuary fish, such as Mangrove Jack and Red Bass.  Each day presents a new opportunity, whether casting on the flats or exploring deeper waters, tailored to the conditions and your preferences. Our charters welcome both lure and fly anglers, with all necessary gear provided if needed.

• Day 7: On the final day, soak in the pristine beauty of Cape York as you take one last cast before your return journey. Your charter flight will take you back to Cairns with memories of an incredible week spent fishing in one of the most spectacular regions of Australia.
