At the Beginning of January we had an exceptional week of glassed out flat calm weather that fortunately coincided with a dive charter that had booked Aroona to Osprey Reef.
The charter was a documentary crew that were making a film about Madison Stewart aka “Shark Girl”.
The Catlin Seaview Survey is creating a baseline record of the world’s coral reefs, in high-resolution 360-degree panoramic vision. It will enable change to be clearly monitored over time and will help scientists, policy makers and the public at large to see and understand the issues reefs are facing and work out what needs to be done to best protect coral reefs now and into the future.
Aroona's first exploratory charter to the remote picturesque region of Princess Charlotte Bay was a roaring success, with well over 100 barramundi caught and released by three anglers over four days.
See testimonial and photos written by one of our guests, keen angler Robert Muir from the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
Aroona will be running more of these luxury fishing trips to Princess Charlotte Bay north of Cairns, and to the vast mangrove system inside Hinchinbrook Island to the south of Cairns.
